Sean Francis | Publisher, Head of Content

Sean is a graduate of Bentley University with majors in economics-finance and global perspectives. He is studied abroad in Australia at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, where he was able to further his studies in economics, finance, and global cultures. He is particularly fascinated with history and how historical methods may be applied in the study of economics. Sean is a member of Alpha Phi Omega and has developed his corporate finance skills at his new financial analysis position at Raytheon Technologies.

Henry SooHoo | Head of TalentHenry is a graduate of Bentley University where he majored in economics and finance and minored in CIS. He spent his junior year attending the General Course at LSE. His academic interests included monetary policy, analysis of financial markets and public policy, and behavioral economics. With a strong passion for writing and journalism, she aspires to become a prolific writer in the field of social issues, particularly mental health and climate change. Syed Umar Bukhari| Editor / Contributing Writer

Syed Umar Bukhari is a published author, writer, and poet focusing on exploring mental health topics such as depression, anxiety, and OCD, as well as themes of hopeless romance, through his alliterative writings on his blog, Panacea of Rhapsody. In addition, he is on track to graduate, pursuing a Computer Science degree, with summa cum laude honors in 2023. Umar's programming skills extend beyond his academic work, as he has experience in blockchain development.

Amira is a graduate of Alexandria University with a bachelor’s degree in Dentistry. She is currently an intern dentist with a passionate interest in reading and researching, especially in politics and economics as they impact our everyday lives.

Caleb is a first-year student at West Virginia University. After completing an internship at the United States Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Diseases, while in high school, Caleb took an interest in scientific and medical writing. Jen Fu | Graphic Designer

Jen Fu is an NYC-based digital designer with four years of experience in Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Indesign, and Premiere. She's passionate about storytelling through UI/UX and motion design to create better user experiences. Specifically, she designs a visual system for digital devices through typography, layout, and illustrations to ensure consistency and follow brand guidelines.

I’m a 25-year-old Guatemalan sociologist. My eagerness to understand society and to make sense of my country's social and gender inequalities led me to study social sciences and human development in France for five years. Currently, I work at an NGO that allows me to work close to vulnerable women and girls in Guatemala and accompany them in their cultural, scholastic, and economic growth.

Rob is a sophomore at Marist College who is pursuing a major in finance with a minor in data science & analytics. He focuses his writing on both economic and finance-related topics to boost his knowledge and continue his learning outside of the classroom through extensive research. Some of his business interests include equity research, real estate, and investments.

Stefan Lungu is a (senior/recent graduate) studying English at NYU. He's excited to be working here, getting his first hands-on experience in the world of professional writing. His primary interests are evolutionary biology and the humanities.

Shayan Shivji is a junior at the Wharton School of Business, pursuing a dual major in Finance and Consumer Psychology. He is deeply passionate about sustainable investing, focusing on practices that enhance longevity and prosperity for all stakeholders. In his free time, Shayan enjoys playing poker with friends and honing his skills in motivational speaking.

 

Hamza is a graduate of the University of Warsaw in Poland where he majored in International Relations. He also participated in Erasmus and spent a year at Bilkent University in Turkey. He brings an unparalleled dedication to shedding light on critical global issues. He has a deep-seated passion for advocating against abuses of Human rights and advancing humanitarian causes. Fascinated by the immense power yielded by the International actors, Hamza is committed to uncovering and highlighting instances of corruption, mismanagement, and the suppression of fundamental rights. He tries to raise awareness and provoke thoughtful and meaningful conversations on complex issues.

Ryan is a graduate of the University of California Riverside with a BA in Political Science and currently writes for various organizations. He has a passion for world history, philosophy, and military science.

Julianna is a junior at the University at Buffalo, currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in American Sign Language. Her areas of interest include women's issues and environmental sustainability. With her writing, she aims to explore diverse perspectives to craft informative and thought-provoking pieces. In her free time, she enjoys reading and creating art.


Aidan is a Junior at Marist College pursuing a major in Computer Science with a concentration in Software Development. His writing primarily focuses on both computer science and environmental science with the hopes of bringing important environmental issues and solutions to light. Some of Aidan's academic interests include AI/machine learning research, neuroscience, environmental science, and philosophy. Outside of the classroom, Aidan enjoys snowboarding, gaming, gardening, reading, and traveling.

 

Ozi (pronounced like "cozy") is a Cedarville University (BA Psychology) graduate who is currently taking classes for post-undergraduate certificates at Kent State University in public health and paralegal studies. She has worked at Health Advocate as a patient advocate and is passionate about mental health service delivery because of that experience. In her free time, she loves reading, writing poetry and short stories, listening to music, and playing the keyboard.


Grace is a graduate of the University of Portland where she majored in Integrative Health and Wellness and minored in Music. Her areas of interest include women's health, environmental science, and the humanities. Outside of writing, she enjoys hiking, reading, and baking.

 


Chantal is currently pursuing her passion for Political Science and Economics at Macalester College. Her unique educational journey, which includes spending the last two years of high school in Armenia, has profoundly shaped her academic and personal outlook. This experience has not only enriched her understanding of diverse cultures but also ignited her interest in International Relations, Conflict and Peace Studies, and International Development. Chantal's academic pursuits are driven by a desire to contribute to global peace and development, utilizing her knowledge to bridge gaps and foster understanding across nations.

Michael Ferrito is a sophomore at Marist College studying economics with a minor in data science and analytics. He focuses on economics and finance-based writing, looking to explore further into the field he plans to build a career in. His career passions lie in econometrics, financial analysis, and equity research. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and working out.

Timos Pietris | Vice Chairman

Timos is a recent graduate of Marist College with a degree in Finance and Applied Mathematics. At SnoQap, he serves as an advisor for the Finance Group, working with writers to bring out their best analyses of the markets. He is an avid follower and student of the markets, reading pretty much anything that he can get his hands on. Anna Yurkova | Secretary

Anna is a graduate of Susquehanna University with a double major in political science and international studies. She has been with SnoQap since 2017 and advanced from writer to editor, publisher, and now to secretary of the board. Professionally, Anna works as a paralegal at UB Greensfelder LLP, specializing in U.S. business immigration.

Michael Provvisionato joined SnoQap as a Contributing Writer in the fall of 2019, while he was studying Finance at Providence College. Over the next few years, his involvement in the organization increased, eventually became Publisher and then President of SnoQap. Upon graduating in the spring of 2022, Michael moved from his role as President to a member of the SnoQap board. Michael currently works as an Investment Analyst at Polar Capital.

Karl Warfel is a Product Development and Project Management professional with experience in many aspects of consumer electronics product realization and mobile wireless products. Effectively develops use cases, requirements, product road maps, and validations standards for devices and services.
Over the past 20 years working at both start-ups and large corporations, including T-Mobile, BellSouth, Comcast, and Verizon provides a diverse set of best practices. Interests include process improvement, management practices, and team dynamics. Presently at Verizon wireless's device marketing department focusing on device portfolio planning.
